Natural Ushuaia

Ushuaia Nature is the name of the emission of Nicolas Hulot, producer and organizer, devoted to discovered natural landscapes of the world and their inhabitants Wednesday evening on TF1. The philosophy of the emission is: " amazement is the first step towards the respect ".

Its diffusion began in October 1998, making following Opération Okavango , and was established quickly at quarterly intervals, then since 2006 three times per annum. Indeed an emission of Ushuaia Nature costs approximately 1 million euros, which is currently the documentary one expensive of television. In spite of this cost, the chain leaves at Nicolas Hulot the total freedom of the subjects covered in the emission as well as the destinations, because TF1 has the license of the mark " Ushuaïa" (freezing shower, watch, products of office…) what ensures him to have incomes higher than the expenditure of an emission. It is what allows " Ushuaia Nature" to have large and rare longevity for a programme of this kind on television and in addition on TF1.

Since the creation of the chain, the documentary ones are also repeated on Ushuaia TV.

This emission amongst other things made famous for the means of transport ecological S (ULM, Montgolfière, Deltaplane, Kayak of sea, cords, etc) employed by Nicolas Hulot, often in entry of emission, sometimes with an unquestionable taking risk, and which generated some mocking remarks. However this choice probably related to criticisms is addressed after its preceding emission.

These voyages are the occasion of meetings with zoologists and botanists, recurring being probably the marine biologist Laurent Ballesta. They make it possible to make share the discovery of Espèce S endemic and to insist on the importance of the safeguarding of the ecosystem to maintain the balance of planet.
