National university of Kiev of construction and architecture

The National university of Kiev of construction and architecture KNUCA (Ukrainian: Київськийнаціональнийуніверситетбудівництваіархітектури ; English: National Kyiv University off Construction and Architecture KNUCA ; formerly Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute ) is a university founded in 1930 with Kiev, Ukraine.

Outline

In 1930, the Institute of Kiev for the building (Kyiv civiux engineering of institutes) and the technical national university of Ukraine founded l'" polytechnic institute of Kiev" (Kyiv Polytechnic Institute " KPI") and the department of architecture of the academy of the Art schools of Kiev.

In 1993, on decision of the government of the Ukraine, the institute is integrated in the national university for the building and architecture and is renamed the national university of construction and architecture by an Ukrainian Presidential decree published in 1999.

Since the existence of the university, approximately 40.000 architects and engineers were trained, including 1500 foreigners coming of more than 70 countries. In 2005, 7.500 students study in this establishment of higher education; the university accommodates 120 scientific professors and lecturers and 700 collaborators. Research is carried out in 25 different fields.
