National union of the cases of health insurance

The UNCAM or National union of the Cases of Health insurance is the result of the reforms on the French social security aiming so that several entities are answered:

  1. National union of the cases of health insurance

  2. National union of the complementary organizations of health insurances
  3. National union of the professions of health

It is created in 2004. has not to confuse with the Union of the national banks of social security

Operation

UNCAM gathers the national banks of the three principal modes of social security the CNAMTS (National bank of health insurance of the employed persons), MSA and the CANAM (Caisse of health insurance of the independent professions). Its role is to coordinate the action of the various cases and to build a stable and profitable dialog with the health professionals.

The main missions of the UNCAM are to negotiate the agreements and conventions between health professionals and case of health insurance, to fix the rates of refunding, to classify each drug in one of the three categories envisaged and to decide which are the acts being able to give place to refunding.

The decisions are made within a college gathering the directors of the three cases, the director of the CNAMTS while being the managing director. He is assisted of a council of 18 members resulting from three cases (12 CNAMTS, 3 CCMSA, 3 MTA). The managing director, under mandate of the College, negotiates and signs conventions with the health professionals.
