the National school of the rural executives , or E.N.C.R. is a school of engineers in Agronomie located at Bambey (Senegal).

Founded in the middle of the Sixties with the Senegal and opened with Bambey in 1965, it has from the beginning the role to form in four years of the engineers of the agricultural work, of National Forestry Commission, veterinary surgeons… It is accessible on contest to the Senegalese having obtained the BEPC and the other African students (Mauritania, Niger, Mali, Chad…). This school, supported by the assistances Bi and mutilatérales, was inaugurated by Léopold Sedar Senghor, president of the Republic of Senegal in 1966. The administration and the professors are primarily provided by the Ministère of the Co-operation French. Its proximity with the National center agronomic research of Bambey or CRA (Research relating to the adaptation on the ground and the climate of of the Sahel) constitutes a positive point then.

Nearly thirty years after its installation, the statutes and the goals of the ENCR are reformed by decree in 1991. The National school of the Rural Executives of Bambey (E.N.C.R.) has from now on the role to form " engineers of the travaux" in the departments of the vegetable production, animal or forest; in the council for the formation with the development.

The formation, one three years duration is always sanctioned by a diploma for the occupation of engineer of work. The admission, by way of contest in September, is opened to the Senegalese candidates of two the 30 years old sexes to more at January 1st of the year of the contest, holders of any baccalaureat but practically only the scientific and technical graduates succeed. The school accommodates also foreign candidates whose candidature is introduced by their respective government.
