National school of engineers de Brest

The National school of Engineer S of Brest ( ENIB ) is a French public school of training of engineers (BAC+5).

Presentation

This school belongs to the Groupe ENI.

The ENIB trains engineers general practitioners in the fields of the electronic , the data-processing Ingénierie, and the Mécatronique able to control the whole of technologies present in the modern products and industrial systems.

The duration of the studies is 5 years, 3 years or 2 years following the level of entry.

Teaching is exempted in the form of course, of directed work and practical works. A continuous control system of knowledge is applied.

History

Some dates in the history of the school:

  • 1961 - Creation of the ENIB (schooling in 4 years).
  • 1987 - important Change: passage of the duration of the studies at 5 years, diversification of recruitment, creation of two dies (electronics and industrial data processing).
  • 1991 - Cohabilitation to deliver DEA Electronic - Optronique.
  • 1992 - Installation in new, modern and functional buildings (10 000 m ²) on the Technopolis Brest-Iroise.
  • 1994 - Enabling to deliver Mastère: Software genius and Real-time for the Industrial data processing (GT2I).
  • 1997 - Enabling for Mastères: Distributed virtual reality (RVD).
  • 2000 - Opening of the Mécatronique die.
  • 2004 - Construction of an extension of 4000m ² and creation of the CERV (Center European of Virtual reality).
