National reserves of fauna
The national reserves of fauna (English: National Wildlife Area ) with the Canada is protected territories whose objective is the conservation of essential Moist environments for avian fauna. These territories one mainly for aim of protection surfaces of nesting and relays migratory.
Description
Since 1969, the Canadian Service of fauna, one of the offices of the ministry Environment Canada, acquired of territories in order to protect the migrating fauna, and particularly birds , in Canada.
The education of the public is also one of the objectives of the national reserves of fauna. Some of them are opened with the public; one finds there centers of interpretation of fauna, guide-organizers, installations allowing there to practice the hiking, the observation of fauna, the old Canot and the Photographie. Certain activities of hunting or fishing are also allowed there but strictly controlled in order to protect the animal populations. However, the others are protected territories where the public is not allowed.
The national reserves of fauna are identified by panels blue and white representing a Plongeon huard, the bird emblematic of the Canadian Service of Fauna.

With the Quebec, the Canadian Service of fauna acquired of eight territories in order to create national reserves of fauna which, in 2001, added up 5762 Hectare S.
