Launched in 2001 by the French government, the National plan Nutrition-Health (PNS) has as objective general to improve the health condition of the whole of the French population while acting on one of its major determinants which is the Nutrition.

Last nine priority nutritional objectives in term of Public health

To reduce by 25% the number of small consumers of fruit and vegetables.
  • To increase the consumption of Calcium.

To reduce by 25% the number of the people having calcic contributions in lower part of the advised nutritional Contributions (ANC), while reducing by 25% of the prevalence of deficiencies in Vitamin D.
  • To reduce the contributions lipidic S to less than 35% of the daily energy contribution.

  • To increase the glucidic contribution with more than 50% of the daily energy contribution, in particular the contribution out of fibers of 50%.

To reduce by 25% the simple sugar contribution.
  • To reduce the consumption of alcohol to less 20g per day in the general population.

This objective is in the nutritional context (excessive contribution to the energy contribution); it is not directed towards the population of the subjects presenting a chronic problem of Alcoolisme, debtor of a catch in specific charge.
  • To reduce by 5% the average Cholestérolémie of the adults.

To stop the increase in the prevalence of obesity in the children.
  • To increase the day laborer physical-activity of equivalent the half an hour of additional fast walk per day. Sedentariness being a risk factor of chronic diseases, it must be fought in the child.
