National parks of the lake Turkana
The National parks of the Lake TurKana registered on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO in 1997 for the Kenya are three. They are located on the Lac Turkana, more salted African big lakes. It is an important place of migration for many species of birds, as well as a place of reproduction for many large mammals and reptiles.
The fossiliferous layers of Koobi Fora are particularly rich in remainders of mammals and molluscs. They are an exceptional testimony for the comprehension of the paléo-environments which followed one another on the African continent .
The three parks are the National park of Sibiloi, the National park of Exchange Island and the National park of South Island.
