The National park of the Large Basin is a national park located at the United States, in the state of the Nevada, near the border with the Utah. The park holds its name of the Grand Basin, a dry and mountainous area located between the Sierra Nevada and the Rocky Mountains. It covers a surface of 312 km ².

The park is particularly known for its pines of Bristlecone, which can live up to 5000 years and for the Lehman caves, located at the foot of the Wheeler Peak, second plus high summit of Nevada. The caves were protected since January 24th, 1922 ( Lehman Caves National Monument ) and were incorporated in the park during its creation, in 1986.
