National park of the High-Throat-of-the-River-Malbaie
The national park of the High-Throat-of-the-River-Malbaie , of a surface of 224,7 km ², is accessible from the village from Saint-Aime-of-Lakes in the tourist area of Charlevoix, with the Quebec. It constitutes one of the central Surfaces of the World reserve of the biosphere of Charlevoix, statute granted by UNESCO. This national park is represented by a deep valley in high mountains which presents walls escarpées of more than 700 meters height. One finds there many cascades and falls of which highest fact 160 meters as well as many typical mammals of the northern forest of which the Martre as well as the caribou of the wood which attends the tops isolated from the park. The park wedges also the ecological Réserve of the Large-Elms.
The park is managed by the Québécois government through the Société of the establishments of outdoor of Quebec (SÉPAQ).
