National park of Taï
The National park of Taï , in the west of the Ivory Coast and close to the Guinea and the Liberia, covers 3.500 km ² around the Mont Nienokoue and contains one of the primary last forests of Africa. It is prolonged in north by the Réserve of Zo (700 km ²) and is populated amongst other things elephant S, Buffle S, Singe S, Céphalophe S, Zèbre S, Hippopotame S and Panthère S.
It is especially a vital Espace for large the Mammifère S, Oiseau X and others animal, threatened of extinction in West Africa: dwarf Hippopotamus, Céphalophe streaked, Jentink, Bogon, Mangabé ( Cercocebus atys ), Chimpanzee (side troglodytes), dwarf chimpanzee or bonobo ( Side paniscus ), Colobe white and black, Colobe of van beneden, Cercopithèque Diane, Cercopithèque mone, Pétauriste.
It contains also many gasoline S forest of great quality and is a place of scientific research and medical.
It is registered with the world heritage UNESCO since 1982 and is belonged to the reserves of the Biosphère.
