National park of Shiretoko

Japanese national park is a which covers the majority of the peninsula of Shiretoko located on the island of Hokkaidō. The park was founded on June 1st 1964 and covers a surface of 386,33 km ². Part of the national park of Shiretoko constitutes the principal part (34000 ha) of the site of Shiretoko registers in 2005 with the world heritage of UNESCO.
