National park of Saguenay
The national park of Saguenay , of a surface of 283,60 km ², is located at a hundred kilometers downstream from Saguenay on the river of the same name. It includes/understands inter alia cliffs of the Fjord of Saguenay as well as the forests surrounding them. The park was created in 1983 and it is the terrestrial prolongation of the marine Parc of the Saguenay-Saint-Laurent
The park is particularly famous for the long hiking which one can practice there.
For the bicentenary of the French revolution, the government of Quebec named three courses according to the French currency, that is to say the courses Liberté, Égalité and Fraternity. These three courses are located on northern bank opposite the sector of Bay-Eternity.
The park is managed by the Québécois government through the Société of the establishments of outdoor of Quebec (SÉPAQ).
