National park of Low-Casamance
Located close to Oussouye, in the Area of Ziguinchor, the National park of Low-Casamance the is one of the six national parks of the Senegal. It is currently closed.
History
The park was created in 1970.
Characteristics
Its surface is of 5.000 hectares.Principal the Biotope S is the Guinean forest ( Parinari excelsa , Treculia africana , Pitheceloblum altissimum .) and wooded savanna.
Fauna
One finds there 50 species of mammals (Buffle of forest, Panthère, Cercopithecus campbelli , Galagoïdes demidoff , Colobe bai) like 200 species of birds.Tourism
The site is with a score of kilometers of the Aéroport of Cape Skirring.Because of the Conflict in Casamance, the park, perhaps undermined, have been closed with the visitors for several years.
