National park of Bénoué
The national park of Bénoué is a natural park Cameroun board.
Localization
Located in the Province of north at the Cameroun this park is easily accessible starting from the road which connects Ngaoundéré and Garoua. With its 180 000 ha it proves to be an excellent reserve of animals, particularly the Hippopotame which finds there places favourable with its survival especially in dry season. One of the oldest zone protected from Cameroun creates in 1968, recognized reserve of the biosphere Anne beginning 1980.180000 ha. The vegetation is that of raised savanna. The edges of Bénoué constitute the first attraction of this reserve. Temptation is large to follow to foot its course to the timbered banks, which is spread with most extremely of the dryness in puddle pools and ponds where sand banks and rocks alternate. The park shelters an extremely varied fauna. It is the stronghold assured the hippopotamus, of the antelopes, hippodragues and buffaloes particularly irascible. The National park of Bénoué (GNP) is formed of the park and the 9 zones of huntings which are contiguous for him. The GNP and its peripheral zone present a relatively broken relief with a system of separate hills from/to each other by more or less vast plains. Rich person and diffuse, the hydrographic network of the zone is especially turned towards the river Bénoué, only river of the area and whose two affluents (the mayo Mbam and Na) largely drain the park. The GNP and its peripheral Zone enjoy a tropical climate
