National park Los Alerces
The National park Los Alerces ( Parks Nacional Los Alerces ) is located in the province of Chubut, in Patagonie Argentine. It includes/understands the lake Futalaufquen, Río Arrayanes, the Lac Verde and the Lac Menéndez.
Its foundation goes back to 1937, it has a surface of: 263000 hectares is: 2630 km ², which is vaster than the French department of the Yvelines. The goal of its creation was the protection of superb the fitzroya cupressoides , still called lahuán or alerce , one of the trees of longer longevity on ground which was threatened of extinction.
In these places, the climate is moderate cold with very contrasted seasons. The winters are rainy even snow-covered; the summers are dry, with nights fraiches.
One can obtain a license for patiquer the fishing. Thing which surprises souvent : one can also obtain some for the Chasse, but they are only certain exotic species, and that seems intended to decrease their pressure on the species autochtones and to thus restore a certain balance.
Flora
Among the other plant species one there trouve : the coihue, the Cypress, the radal, the ñire, the maitén, the maquis and the lenga.
The Rosa mosqueta, the Lupin and the Marguerite, which are exotic European species became a big problem of conservation for the native species, being given their great dispersion and their lack of protection.

The introduced species, like the Stag Elaphe, the Deer, the Wild boar, the Mink and the Hare, had a serious impact.- Pudu

In its abundant water, its lakes, its ríos and brooks there are quantity of Saumon S and Truite S.
Hydrology
The park has a complex system of lakes with several tributary rivers or emissary. The most important lakes are the Lac Menéndez, the Lac Rivadavia, it Lake Futalaufquen the Lake Krüger, the Lake Cholila, the Lake Verde and the Lake Amutui Quimei.It is a hydroelectric stopping which created the artificial big lake Amutui Quimei, which bars the Río Futaleufú which runs towards Chile. Notable is also the Río Frey.
One can admire the Torrecillas glacier by making a turn in boat on the Lac Menéndez.
