National park Isla Magdalena
The National park Isla Magdalena (Spanish Parks Nacional Isla Magdalena ) is a national park of 1,576 km ² located in Patagonie, with the Chile. It was created in 1967 as a forest reserve and became national park in 1983.
Among the place of interest, one can quote Puerto Gaviota in the south of the national park. In addition to the Atilio island in north, the park includes/understands a big number of smaller islands.
The national park is characterized by its variety of marine birds (including Pingouin S and of Cormoran S) like by its typical vegetation of the zone. The climate of Isla Magdalena is rather cold, with an annual average of temperature around 6-8° C and of precipitations which reach approximately 4.000 mm per annum.
One reaches the park by the sea thanks to the ports of Puerto Cisnes or Puerto Puyuhuapi. On the island, the infrastructures are non-existent.
