The National orchestra of Russia (in, Rossiïskiï Natsional' nyï Orkestr) is a Symphony orchestra Russian.

History

The orchestra is founded in 1990 by the Pianiste and Leader Mikhaïl Pletnev.

Born during the time which sees to crumble the Soviet Union, it is the first orchestra of the country to being completely independent of the political power. Its inaugural concert takes place in November 1990 with Moscow.

In ten years, its artistic level caught up with those of the Russian and Western full orchestras. Great names of the direction of orchestra were destined for its head: Vladimir Spivakov, Kent Nagano, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Alexander Vedernikov,…

Turning frequently abroad, it in particular was the first Russian orchestra to occur with the the Vatican and in Israel.
