National orchestra of Ile-de-France
The National orchestra of Ile-de-France is a Symphony orchestra French based with Alfortville
History
Founded in 1974, it is charged by the District council with Ile-de-France and by the Ministère with the Culture to bring the symphonic Musique to the peripheral cities of Paris, and to make known it near the young public.It gives thanks to its 90 Musicien S permanent a hundred concerts per annum.
Its musical director was during a score of years Jacques Mercier (which joined in 2002 the National orchestra of Lorraine). Currently the direction of the orchestra is entrusted to Marc-Olivier Dupin, Compositeur French and old directing of the academy of Paris. The rod of Leader is as for it reserved for Yoel Levi since 2005.
Very committed in the Modern music, the orchestra created more than 80 works in fifteen years.
Its discography counts approximately ten discs (French music primarily).
