National museum of Iran

The National museum of Iran or archaeological Museum of Iran موزهایرانباستان |Muze-ye Irân-e Bâstân is an archaeological museum and historical located at Teheran. It was inaugurated in 1937 and preserves antiquities of the ancient Perse like objects of potteries, out of metal, books, parts…

The museum is composed of two buildings. First is dedicated to the ic collections pre Islam, the second gathers all the objects of the Islamic era.

The first building is composed of three halls. The three halls contain objects dating from the Paléolithique, the Neolithic as well as Bronze Age and iron until the times Mèdes, Achéménides, Séleucides, Parthes and Sassanides.
