National movement Siméon II
The National movement Siméon II (in Bulgarian, НационалнодвижениеСимеонВтори, Nacionalno Dviženie Simeon Vtori) is a Bulgarian political party , of center and royalist inspiration (royalist Démocratie), created in 2001 at the time of the legislative ones from June, with at its head the former king Siméon II détrôné by the Communiste S in 1946.
The movement obtained 42,7% of the votes and 119 seats out of 240, is 2 less than the absolute majority. After some hesitations, the former king agreed to take the head of the government, the July 24th 2001, under name civil Siméon Sakskoburggotski (Saxony-Cobourg-Gotha) (СимеонСакскобургготски) and undertaken to give, according to his own terms, Bulgaria with work.
Bulgaria thus inaugurated in its turn one era of institutional Cohabitation with the president of the Republic, initially with Petar Stoyanov, leader of the old coalition of right-hand side until January 2002, then with Gueorgui Parvanov, resulting from the rows of the Bulgarian Socialist party (PSB, ex-Communists).
Local elections which have occurred meanwhile resulted in a renewal of favor of the Socialists, perhaps due to severe economic measures. The Million takes part since 2005 at a coalition government with the PSB.
