National league of improvisation
The National league of improvisation (LNI), created in 1977, is a humorous Théâtre impromptu, the majority of the participants being theatrical people, actors or humorists. This formula of Ligue of improvisation will be taken again in France, Belgium and Suisse, which will support tournaments between these countries, at the time of the Mondial of Impro.
Its official designation is “Theater of the National league of improvisation”.
Description
Although the formula evolved/moved with the passing of years, there are certain constancies which return: humor, improvisation, payments which points out those of the National league of hockey, uniforms, theatrical space which points out a Patinoire and audience which encircles this space. The participants train teams of six players (3 men/3 women). A referee measuring rod randomly a paperboard-topic which describes the situation that participants must play. The teams have 20 seconds, during a preparatory caucus, to conceive the saynètes to be played. At the conclusion of the combat, the audience votes for the best service.
Each profit is worth a point with the team. After the part, the team having the most points gains.
During the service, the referee can “punish” a team which does not respect the payments of the theatrical play. If the team disputes, the referee is obliged to justify his decision. The audience can also hoot the decision of the referee.
The duration of each activity is variable: from 30 second at 20 minutes. These times are selected in order to create a tension at the participants, while avoiding the trouble among the audience.
With the Quebec, the services of the participants are regularly diffused. This exposure supports the career on television these participants. Here a list of various Québécois high-speed motorboats which launched their career on television thanks to their participation in the LNI:
