National league of athletics

The National league of Athletics (LNA) is an association declared, created on January 28th, 2007 by the French federation of Athletics (F). She is governed by the law of July 1st, 1901, the regulatory legislative texts and applicable to associations and those relating to the organization and the promotion of the physical-activities and sporting.

The statutes of the LNA were approved by the General meeting of F of December 2nd, 2006 with Annecy.

The main objective of the LNA is to give the French athletes of the elite access to a social status, to enable them to devote itself fully to the research of the performance of very High level. LNA should contribute to manage their activity of professional sportsman and to gradually set up their professional reconversion. The LNA ensures the representation and the management of the activities relating to the professional Athletics in application and conformity with the legislation in force, the payments of F, the International association of the Federations of Athletics as well as provisions concluded between F and the LNA.

The LNA is competent to make any decision concerning the organization and the development of the professional Athletics.

It has, in this respect competence for:

to fix the conditions of organization and participation in the competitions which it defines;

to organize, manage and regulate the professional Athletics;

to finance all the useful operations or all actions for the development of the professional Athletics;
to ensure the application of the decisions pronounced by its authorities, in particular disciplinary, with respect to the sporting groupings members of the LNA, the fired professional athletes and all other people, physics or morals, bound by these Statutes and payments;
to defend the interests, in particular moral and material, of the professional Athletics;
to exert, more generally, all actions suitable to support the realization of its object in the respect of competences of F.

The first president of the LNA is Stephan Diagana.
