National league
The National league is one of the two leagues of the major Ligue of baseball to the the United States. It was founded in 1876. Since 1903 the champion of the League meets the champion of the American Ligue in the world Séries. After the World Series 2006, the teams of the National league gained 42 and lost 60 of them.
History
August 1st The league is founded the February 2nd 1876 with New York by eight franknesses. Six of them disappeared.Traditionally, the teams of the two leagues never clashed safe in world Series, match pre-season, or at the time of special meetings not counting for the calendar (for example the Coupe Pearson between Montreal and Toronto. The major Leagues of baseball decided to organize matches inter-leagues in 1995, supporting the competitions between cities located in the vicinity (Oakland and San Francisco, Los Angeles and Anaheim) or between two teams of the same city (New York, Chicago).
Today, the great difference between the leagues is that the American League uses a striker indicated.

Contraction, expansion and relocalization (since 1953)
- 1953 : Boston Brave men transferred to Milwaukee.
- 1958: New York Giants transferred to San Francisco and the Brooklyn Dodgers transferred to Los Angeles.
- 1962: Creation of the two franknesses: the Houston Colt .45s. (renamed Astros in 1965) and the New York Mets.
- 1966: Brave Milwaukee transferred to Atlanta.
- 1969: Creation of the two franknesses: the Expos of Montreal and the San Diego Padres.
- 1993: Creation of the two franknesses: the Colorado Rockies and the Florida Marlins.
- 1998: Creation of a frankness: the Arizona Diamondbacks.
- 1998: The Milwaukee Brewers are transferred from the American Ligue towards the National league.
- 2005: Expos of Montreal transferred to Washington and renamed Washington Nationals.
Prize list
1876-1968
Of 1876 with 1968, the champion of the National league is the team recording the best ratio victory/demolished within a single hen.
Since 1969
From 1969, the National League Championship Series are founded to designate the champion of the National league. This final puts at the catches initially the winners of two divisions which form the league, then, starting from 1994, set up true phase of play-offs with semi-finals and finale concerning the three winners of each division constituting the league and the best second.† Team qualified like better second ( wild card ).
