It gathers associations of the kinés students and is member of the Federation of General associations Coeds (FAGE).
The FNEK acts independently of any political party, of any confession and of any trade union and it very prohibits foreign standpoint to its goals.
History
Before 2002, a structure wishing to represent and defend the moral and material interests students of these dies carrying the name of National association of the Students in Masso-Kinesitherapy and Ergothérapie de France (ANEMKEF) existed. It was member of PDE until 1998. Founded in the region of Lion, it gathered that associations of the cities and areas bordering but could not be claimed representative of the students of the whole of the territory. On the basis of this report, it was dissolved at the time of its last general meeting.
However, the need for a unit between the students of this corporation was not to die out, especially for a field such as kinesitherapy in the turn of its future.
Considering that united we stand, divided we fall, the creation of a new organization gathering the kinés students and ergothérapeutes (in certain cities the students in kiné and ergothérapie form same association), but this time of all the country, was essential quickly.
February 16th, 2002, a meeting in Paris gathered the representatives of 6 associations of students. Conscious of the stakes for the future of the studies but also of the profession, they created the Federation of the Students in Kinesitherapy and Ergothérapie (FNEKE). Luc Morfin (student genoblois) became about it the first President and the statutes were deposited with the Police headquarter of Paris the following day.
Gradually, the ergothérapeutes were different from kinés. In 2003, the FNEKE became the FNEK (National federation of the Students in Kinesitherapy).
the students in Ergothérapie founded in 2006 the National union of Associations Coeds in Ergothérapie (UNAEE) based on identical principles.
During years, the FNEK did not cease growing by developing new projects and by federating the whole of French associations. Consequently it was essential like representative on the eyes of the organizations of professional kinesitherapists, of the Order lately creates, but especially with the eyes of the State.
Operation
The FNEK is based on the ascending system guaranteeing the democracy. In each IFMK, a delegate FNEK is present. Its role is to establish the link between the office of the FNEK and the students in order to disseminate information but also to transmit the opinions of the students to the Office.
This delegate sits at the Board of directors (CA) joining together 3 has 4 times per annum the representatives of all the IFMK as well as the National office. 2 General meetings (September and March) also take place. These 2 authorities are truly the sovereign structures of the FNEK. They votes motions, definite the axes of the federation, elects the office,…
