National ethics commission of safety

In France, the National ethics commission of safety (CNDS) is an administrative authority independent created by Law 2000-494 of the June 6th 2000.

It is charged to take care of the respect of the deontology by the people exerting of the activities of safety on the territory of the Republic.

It deals essential “burs” with the forces of police force, but it is also judicious to control the prison system.

The Commission is neither a court, nor a disciplinary board, she wants to be to be a place of recourse and control.

Means of action

CNDS suffers from a recurring under-financing which blocks its action.
