National council of Iranian resistance

The National council of Iranian resistance, NCIR federates a faction of the opposition Iran ienne abroad, against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It is chaired by Massoud Radjavi.

It is primarily composed of the Organization of the moudjahiddines of the Iranian people, based with Paris and of the Organization of the Fédaïs Guerillas of the People of Iran (organization of extreme left: http://www.iranian-fedaii.de/). Of tendency islamo-Marxist, OMPI is registered on the list of the terrorist organizations of the the United States and the European Union, but continues a legal lobbying.

The NCIR is composed of five organizations of Iranian opposition of which the Organization of the moudjahiddines of the Iranian people, which composes the majority of it of the members, and of some independent personalities. It also gathers bunches of extreme-left. The NCIR obtained a Parliament in exile made up of 550 members of which 52% are women. It adopted plans for the autonomy of the Kurdistan, the equality of the sexes, the separation of the religion and the State. The whole of the component of the NCIR are for a laic and democratic state. In 1993 the NCIR elected Maryam Radjavi like future president of the Republic for the transitional period.

Other components of the Iranian opposition

Among the other main components of the Iranian opposition, non-member of the NCIR, it is also necessary to quote two:
