National council of French employers
The National council of French employers ( CNPF ) was an organization representing employers French. It was created in December 1945 at the request of the French government which, with leaving the Second world war, wished to have an interlocutor representative of the unit of employers. A convention, concluded on July 24th, 1946, came to specify the relationship between the CNPF on the one hand and the Council inter federal of the French trade on the other hand, in agreement and with the assistance of the FAR and CGPME.
This convention constitutes the birth certificate of the National council the Commercial (CNC).
Into 1998, the CNPF is transformed into Mouvement of the companies of France (Medef) under the impulse of Ernest-Antoine Seilliere.
