National company of aeronautical engineerings of North
The National company of aeronautical engineerings of North (SNCAN) is a French company born of the nationalization of the manufacturers of weaponry, following the law of August 11th, 1936.
It was consisted the regrouping of the factories Potez of Méaulte, CAMWOODS of Sartrouville, ANF Mureaux with the Mureaux, Amiot of Caudebec-in-Caux and Bréguet of the Havre.
It absorbs SNCAC in June 1949 and becomes North-Aviation after the absorption of the SFECMAS (French company of study and construction of special aeronautical materials) in 1954.

SUC.10 Curlew (1946), revolutionary single-engined aircraft of tourism with a pusher airscrew which will be abandoned following its crash landing at the time of the meeting of Villacoublay in 1947, causing the death of its test pilot Alfred Testot-Ferry.
