National center of formation of Scouts and Guides of France

The National center of formation of the Scouts and Guides of France has as a seat the Château of Jambville. Each year more: 2000 frameworks take part in it in formations. With 27 meeting rooms, 200 beds in rooms or dormitories and a refectory of 400 places, the center has the infrastructures necessary to accommodate simultaneously more than 12 of them.

The park of the castle covers nearly 52 hectares, for half in meadow, half in forest. It is a park created at the 13th century.

Every two years, it accommodates the gathering of the young people of the Aumônerie S of Île-de-France, the Frat.

History

The castle of Jambville is bought in 1952 by the association of the Scouts de France, after the new owners of the castle of Chamarande had decided not to more lend this last to association.
