National Basketball League (the United Kingdom)

The National Basketball League was a league Basket-ball with the the United Kingdom which existed of 1972 with 2003. It was then replaced by the English Basketball League.

History

The league was creates in 1972. In 1987 a conflict is created between several teams of the NBL, some wanting a league entirely professional. From this scission will be born the British Basketball League, but the NBL will continue to exist as a minor league. It will be finally replaced in 2003 by the English Basketball League, the English elite and Welsh after BBL.
