The National Basketball League was a professional league Canadian of Basket-ball. It was based, as in much league anglo-saxones, on the principle of franchized teams. It existed the one season time and half between 1993 and 1994

History

Based on ashes of the World Basketball League, disappeared at the conclusion of its season 1991-1992 which had teams Canadian states-uniennes and , the NBL lived its first match on March 1st 1993, opposing the Cape Breton Breakers to the Halifax Windjammers.

With an assessment of 30 victories for 16 defeats, the Cape Breton Breakers gained the regular season 1993-1994. But they were demolished finally by the Saskatoon Slam 3 handles with 1. The following season, the Calgary Outlaws join this league which will disappear before even its term the July 9th 1994. The Halifax Windjammers, however the last the season spent, were then at the head.

The teams of NBL also took part in matches exhibitions against the university teams of ACC All Stars and Big East All Stars (best players of the conferences ACC and Big East). But also against the evangelic team of Athletes in Action and the Canadian national selection.
