Nathalie Griesbeck is appointed European French, elected in the district Is (UDF-ADLE) since June 2004 and general adviser of the the Moselle - canton Metz 3 (since 1988)

Formation

Born with Metz the May 24th 1956, Nathalie Griesbeck made her studies with the Georges college of the Tower, then with the Université of Metz, where it obtains a Maîtrise of public law before succeeding, to the Université of Nancy, while being Major of promotion of each promotion, two Diplômes of Thorough Studies (DEA), of public law and history of the right.

Professional situation

Married and mother of two children, it is University lecturer with the Université of Metz where it teaches the public Droit.

Political career

Municipal council of Metz

Young person City council man of Metz in 1983, it, in 1988, is elected with a very strong majority General adviser of the Moselle by the canton of the Metz 3, most important of the department. She since then summer re-elected in 1994 with 60% of the voices, then in 2001 with 70% of the votes.

At the time of the European elections of June 13rd, 2004, where it led the list UDF for the interregional Circonscription of Large Is, which counts more than eight million inhabitants and gathers eighteen departments in five areas - Alsace, Burgundy, Champagne-Ardenne, Franche-Comté and Lorraine - it was elected parliamentary European with a very favorable score, in particular in the Moselle and more particularly in Metz (more than 22%) where it arrives twice largely at the head the parliamentary line, by obtaining 10% of voice moreover than the UMP. As well and so that its list exceeded in the whole of Large Is the national average of UDF and as she managed to make also elect a second representative with the the European Parliament.

Invited to choose between different the Mandat S that the voters entrusted to him, it decides, at the end of the year 2004, to privilege its function of European Député like its mandate of General adviser of the Moselle, where it is from now on in load of the social housing. For this reason, it has just been elected a vice-president of the Union of the general advisers of France.

Within the European Parliament, it sits as a member of the group of the Alliance of the democrats and the liberals for Europe (ADLE), of which formed part in particular the Polish Bronislaw Geremek. She was elected there regular member of the Committee on Budgets and seat also within the tourism and Committee on Transport. Lastly, she in particular saw herself entrusting, as a permanent rapporteur, the strategic file of the European Structural bases.

Within the Democratic UDF-Movement

In January 2005, Francois Bayrou requires of him to belong to the executive committee of UDF, by entrusting more particularly the question of the parité.
to him May 10th, 2007, it belongs to the personalities which support Francois Bayrou in the creation of the democratic Mouvement.
