Nathalie Gontcharova
Nathalie Serguéïvna Gontcharova (Nagaïevo, government of Toula 1881 - Paris 1962) is a painter Dessinateur and Russian decorator of theater.
She is also the back-small-niece of N.N.Gontcharova, the fatal wife of Pouchkine.
In 1901 in Moscow, she studies the sculpture at F. Volnoukhine and Paul Troubetzkoy and painting at Constantin Korovine. She gives up the sculpture in 1904 and devotes herself to painting after her meeting with Michel Larionov which will be the companion of all its life.
After a passage of impressionism to the cubism, its néo- Primitivisme as from 1907 is influenced by the icon, the Russian popular imagery ( loubok ) chromos , the artisanal sign. The Christian and religious topics or of country inspiration dominate its work then. It takes part in 1906 in the Russian exposure of art to the Salon of autumn organized in Paris by Serge de Diaghilev.
In 1910, with Larionov it takes part in the first Muscovite exposure of the Knave of diamonds.
Since 1911 it takes part in the movement Futuriste (deliver-object) 1912-1915; then with the creation of the rayonnism in 1912-1913, not-figurative movement.
In 1912, it exposes to the Cavalier Blue in Munich and in 1913 with the Gallery Der Stürm in Berlin.

In 1913, it has a great retrospective in Moscow, nearly 700 numbers, and in 1914 a personal exposure to the artistic office of Mrs. Dobytchina in Saint-Pétersbourg; she shows her last work rayonnists there. In the years 1920, it is one of the principal painters of the Russian Ballets of Diaghilev, and designs in particular the decorations for the Weddings of Stravinski.Elle also works for Ida Rubinstein, the Russian Ballet of Monte Carlo.
