Nathalie Dechy

Nathalie Dechy (born the February 21st 1979 with the Abymes, Guadeloupe) is a French player of Tennis , Professionnel since 1994.

Biography

Born in Guadeloupe in a family impassioned from tennis, Nathalie begins her career in 1994. Though seldom victorious, it becomes starting from the beginning of the year 2000, one of the most regular players of the circuit.

She saw her greater season in 2005. She reaches the half final of the Open of Australia where she inclines 2-6 7-6 6-4 vis-a-vis the number one world Lindsay Davenport after having passed has two points of the victory. Playing its best tennis, it eliminates in the passing number 3 world Anastasia Myskina 6-4 6-2 in eighth from finale; then the Swiss woman Patty Schnyder 6-1 5-7 7-5 in quarterfinal.
