Naso (fish)

The Poisson unicorns form one of fish surgeons. It is the only kind in the Nasinae .

Description

The seventeen (or eighteen) species have two anal spines and three soft pelvic rays. Several have a frontal protuberance which becomes larger with the age. Four branchiostégaux rays (of support of hearing). They consume mainly algae.
