The Goulet of Brest is an arm of the sea which connects the Rade of Brest to the Atlantic Ocean.
Broad, it 1800 m is located between the Pointe of the Spaniards and the Pointe of the Small Pussy.
Military situation
The firm narrow part of Brest the Roads of Brest.
It is thus the only maritime access to this place and all the military installations which are present there.
Thus since many centuries and still today the narrow part of Brest is and was a very supervised zone, the many forts and military insfrastructures testify some which border it.
