Narragansett
The Nagarragansetts or sovereign Nation of Nahahiganseck are a whole of Indian tribes of North America living in the North-East of the the United States of America, around the Baie of Narragansett, in the Rhode Island, the Connecticut and in the East of the Massachusetts.
The culture Nahahiganseck exists in the area since several hundred years, living notably of the exchange. The town of Narragansett in Rhode Island, bears their name. They soufrèrent atrocities of Europeans as of the war of the king Philip. Narragansett absorbed the members of other tribes in order to increase their population, in particular by members of the tribe Niantic who completely amalgamated with them. According to the tribal documents, their population rises roughly with 2.400 people today.
Throughout the history of the United States of America, they have several times lost all their rights then regained a part, until in 2006, with lawsuit on their relative independence and their rights in their reserve, which was gained in call then reperdu thereafter.
