Narp is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.

Its inhabitants is called the narpois.

The grounds of the commune are sprinkled by the Gave d' Oloron, affluent of the Gave of Pau, and by its tributaries, the brooks the Lausset, of Salié, Mignou and Mousquère.

The toponym Narp appears in the forms Narb (XIVe century, censier of Béarn) and Feel-EP of Narb (1412, notaries of Navarrenx).

History

Paul Raymond note that in 1385, Narp counted 28 fires and depended on the Bailliage of Navarrenx.
