Naresuan
Naresuan Large the (สมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช, also called Naret or the Prince Noir ) (1555 - 1605) King of Ayutthaya of 1590 to its death was . It succeeded his father Maha Tammaratchathirat Ier (Sanphet I), who had seccoué the yoke of the Dynastie Taungû of Burma in 1584. During its reign, the Siam knew its greater colonial expansion .
Biography
Born with Phitsanulok, Naresuan was taken along in captivity by the Burmese to ensure the fidelity of his/her father Maha Tammaratchathirat Ier, become king of Ayutthaya after the Burmese Occupation in 1569. It was formed in the Martial arts, the Littérature, the Stratégie S Militaires and was one of the prince S in the Burmese palate.
After 9 years passed with Pégou under the monitoring of the Burmese king Bayinnaung, Naresuan was exchanged at 16 years against his/her sister the princess Suphan Thevi. It then became Gouverneur of Phitsanulok.
In 1584, 3 years after the death of Bayinnaung, the kingdom of Ayutthaya ceased paying its tribute in Burma, which started obviously a vigorous attack of this one. Naresuan pushed back it and, in 1586, it occupied the Lanna, a buffer state between the two kingdoms.
Died of his/her father in 1590, Naresuan succeeded to him officially under the name of Sanphet II (สมเด็จพระเจ้าสรรเพชญ์ที่ 2). In 1591, the Burmeses launched a new campaign, which finished when Naresuan killed the royal prince Minchit Sra in a singular combat with back of elephant in Nong Sarai (Suphanburi). The following year, Naresuan attacked the Tenasserim and the Kampuchea.
It led its army to its last battle with Nai and Aunkwa by the direction of Chiang May. When it arrived at Tung Don Kaew, between Chiangmai and the river Salavin, it fell sick from the Variole. It died there in 1605, at the 50 years age. Its Règne had lasted 15 years.
