Narasimha
Narasimha is the fourth misadventure of Vishnu, semi man, semi lion.
Vishnu took this form to overcome the demon Hiranyakashipu, which following great asceticisms had obtained Brahmâ to be able to be killed neither by a man, neither by a god, neither by an animal, neither outside, neither inside, neither on the ground, nor in the air. In its composite form, Vishnu killed it by seizing it with the threshold of a door (neither inside, neither outside) and by maintaining it on its knee (so that it is neither on the ground, nor in the airs) it étripa.
