The commune shelters Chardeneux, one of the 22 more beautiful villages of Wallonia.

First World War

August 20th, 1914 the 1st RAC of the German imperial army passed 11 civilians by the weapons and destroyed 21 houses at the time of the German Atrocités made at the beginning of the invasion.
