Nanism
The nanism is a hereditary condition (see Achondroplasie) or accidental which causes a deceleration of the normal growth of a living being. At the plants it can be caused by an high-altitude.
At the man the nanism gave form to the Bouffon S which play of their characteristic to divert. It is also at the origin of mythological characters, for example the Nibelungen in the saga of Siegfried. See the dwarf like fantastic creature.
There exist also forms of nanism not deforming: most famous of these dwarves is Tom Pouce at the 19th century, presented to the Cirque Barnum. In the language running, one also nominates under the name of “dwarves” the persons of small size. Thus one indicates the Pygmy S in French-speaking central Africa.
