Nancy Chaffee

Nancy Chaffee (March 6th 1929, Ventura, California - August 11th 2002, Coronado, California) is an American player of Tennis of the Années 1940 and 1950.

In 1947, it became champion junior of less than eighteen years in the United States, at the same time into simple and double (with Beverly Baker).

She was the first player not classified head of series to rise in semi-final into simple with the US Women' S National Championship (future US Open) in 1950. The following year, it reached the finale of double the ladies at the sides of Patricia Canning Todd.

Nancy Chaffee was the wife of the player of Baseball Ralph Kiner (of October 22nd, 1951 at 1968) then of the sporting commentator Jack Whitaker.

She died of the continuations of a Cancer at the age of soixante-treize years.
