Nancy-I university
The Université Henri-Poincaré is located at Nancy. After more than 500 years of history (creation of the first Lorraine university in 1572), the UHP counts nowadays 18.000 students, 45 research laboratories, 2500 personnel. The UHP is present in the world prize list of the 500 best universities established by the Université Jiao Tong of Shanghai. In 2007, it occupies the 305ème row on a world level, the 124ème row at the European level and the 13th rank at the national level.
