The town of Nampula
Nampula, chief town of the aforesaid the province, are the third city of the country after Maputo (the capital) and Beira. The city knows these last years a relatively important economic advancement, in particular thanks to the " Corridor of Nacala" who constitutes the road axis and railway Nacala - Malawi, single access roads for this last towards the sea. However, this city remains enough isolated and its means of the simplest connection with the capital remains the plane: there exist daily flights accomplished by the LAM (national company of aviation) and Air Corridor (private company). The bridge crossing the Zambezi with Caia is in the course of construction. It will make it possible to connect the asphalt roads of the south of Mozambique those of north, which have just been entirely restored. An access towards Nacala, main port of the province, exists and makes it possible to open the area with the exchanges and to reinforce the " Corridor of Nacala".
The area of Nampula
This area preserved an almost intact nature because of the many years of civil war which blocked the whole country. Thus sea-beds intact one half-century of war and splendid landscapes are observed there. However, this country is the country more mined in the world what makes explorations very périeuses and difficult. Fauna is very limited, also killed precisely during these years of wars, or jumping on anti-personnel mines. The culture is thus one of the independent sources of food for the peasants because the breeding is only possible with much difficulty.
