Namnètes
The Namnètes are a Gallic people. They remained mouth of the the Loire until upstream of Nantes. They were close to several Gallic people. The Andécaves in the East, the tribe pictonne of the Ambilatres on Southern bank of the Loire, finally the people of the Vénètes in the West and the Give again in Nord.
They had as a city: Condevicnum located with the confluence of northern bank of the the Loire and the mouth of the Erdre. The city became in IIIesiècle Portus Namnetus.
They gave their name to the town of Nantes
