The name of Horus is one of the five names which compose the Titulature of the Pharaons.

It compares Pharaon to the god Horus, wire and successor of Osiris, and Master of Hiérakonpolis from where Narmer is resulting, the first king. It is the oldest name. It is always preceded by the image of the falcon representing Horus ( Her ), from where its designation.
