Nakbe

Nakbe is one of largest the archeological sites Maya old. It is located in the Département of Petén at the Guatemala, to approximately 13 km in the south of the Maya city of El Mirador.

The excavations carried out with Nakbe suggest that the first establishments go up to approximately 1 400 av. J. - C. and that the site was important until its collapse towards 100 to 200 a. J. - C.

Nakbe is surveyed dice 1962 by Ian Graham. One found there shards of Céramique carrying the reason for braids of the plait symbolizing the capacity: with preclassical already this one was in place.

Nakbe includes/understands 4 Sacbeob (fitted communication) that the Archéologue S called Mirador, Cascabel, Palma and Kan.

The play of ball of Nakbe was built in three stages of which a first in 500 with 400 av. J. - C.

There exist three other preclassical sites of minor importance in the vicinity of Nakbe.
