Nakatomi clan
The clan Nakatomi (中臣氏 Nakatomi-uji ) was an influencing clan of the ancient Japan. The clan which firmly supported the shintoïsme vis-a-vis the introduction of Buddhism said to go down from Kami " a degree minus sublimes that those of the impériale" family;.
The clan fought with the Clan Mononobe against the Clan Soga for the prohibition of Buddhism.
The Nakatomi clan is at the origin of the Clan Fujiwara (founded by Nakatomi No Kamatari), probably the most influential clan of the Period Heian.
